Radar is the teddy bear from Big Bird, in the American version of Sesame Street. He is a brown stuffed bear with a ribbon around his neck. Radar was given to Big Bird by Gary Burghoff, when he had a guest appearance on Sesame Street. Burhoff played the character Walter “Radar” O’Reilly in the TV series M*A*S*H.
Big Bird and Radar live in a large nest behind 123 Sesame Street. Radar is the dearest possession of Big Bird and he trusts him and tells him everything. Over the years many stories played around the fact that he is lost or stolen.
