Teddy (Andy Pandy)

Andy Pandy was first produced in 1950 and was a great success among the pre-school children. Andy was a clown puppet, created by Freda Lingstrom. Maria Bird composed most of the music and also wrote scripts, together with Freda.

Andy Pandy, Teddy and Looby Lou were all silent stars. The programmes were narrated by Vera McKechnie.

In the 1970’s, Andy Pandy was remade in colour.
