1910 – 1919

A Farnell teddy bear with blonde mohair, replaced boot button eyes, pronounced clipped muzzle, faded brown stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed limbs and hump.

1910/1920, 14″/35.5cm high.

(head off, hand pads recovered, left leg stitched in place, general wear and fading)

Sold for £ 228 (2007).

1920 – 1929

An Alpha Farnell teddy bear with golden mohair, orange and black glass eyes, pronounced part clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws part stitched onto the pad, swivel head, jointed limbs with tan felt pads, rounded hump and squeaker.

Circa 1928, 18″/46.5cm high.

(some thinning, holes in right foot pad and dusty).

Sold for £ 840 (2007).


A Farnell teddy bear with white mohair, clear and black glass eyes with brown painted backs, pronounced clipped muzzle, brown stitched nose, mouth, webbed hand claws and feet claws, swivel head, jointed limbs with felt pads and hump.

1920s, 18″/46.5cm high.

(three patches in muzzle, balding to face, other thinning and wear to limbs and repairs to pads)

J.K. Farnell golden mohair teddy bear, shiny black boot button eyes, black vertically stitched nose, shaven muzzle, fully jointed, back hump, felt pads, card lined feet, black webbed claw stitching and black claw stitching to feet, inoperative press squeaker.
