The anatomy of a teddy bear

Filling

There are different types of filling for your teddy bear, all with other qualities. Each type of filling gives the bear a different firmness and weight.

1. POLYESTER WADDING
   A little heavier and ideal for firm bears.
2. ELASTISCHE POLYESTER WADDING
   Lighter than the ordinary polyester wadding. Ideal for soft, light cuddly bears.
3. WOODWOOL
   Used in old bears and bears that we want to give an old look.
4. KAPOK
   natural material that is less frequently used because of the synthetic replacements.
5. SYNTHETIC GRANULES
   Popular to fill the body, for a heavier feel. Or for the legs when the bear should stand up. Because of the size of the grains, it is not suitable for children bears.
6. METAL GRANULES
   Very heavy and mainly used for miniature bears and strenghten the legs.
