Banjo

Banjo is a male, brown honey bear. He is an expert banjo player, hence his name. He is calm, respectful and loving and always carries a blue backpack containing Kazooie. Furthermore, he wears a necklace with a shark tooth and yellow shorts. Together with Kazooie, he plays the lead role in a series of video games.

'Banjo-Kazooie' is a series of video games made by Rare in 1998. The two main protagonists in the game are the honey bear Banjo and his friend the breegull Kazooie. They are both controlled by the player, against the evil plans of witch Gruntilda. There are three main titles in the series.

Characters

Banjo is a male brown honey bear, who is sweet but sometimes distracted bear. He lives in Spiral Mountain and along with his friend, the breegull Kazooie, he is the major protagonist in the video game.

Kazooie is a female Red-Crested breegull. She plays the kazoo, hence her name. She lives in Banjo's backpack, unless the player stands on a split-up pad. Kazooie is a wisecrack, can be annoying and she loves adventure.

Tooty is Banjo's younger sister. She wears pigtails on her blond hair and her ears aren't seen. She wears a red tank top with a yellow star and purple slacks. She only plays a supporting role in 'Banjo-Kazooie' and is only mentioned is in the other games.

Boggy is a polar bear with a scarf around his neck and is one of the supporting roles in the video games, he plays in 'Banjo-Kazooie' and 'Banjo-Tooie'. His children, Groggy, Soggy and Moggy play a part in 'Banjo-Kazooie' and his wife Mrs. Boggy plays in 'Banjo-Tooie'. Boogy's igloo first was in Freezeezy Peak, but after it was destroyed, he lives in a new igloo in Hailfire Peaks.

The first game in the series, released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64 and re-released in 2008 for the Xbox 360.

In Spiral Mountain, Banjo's sister Tooty is kidnapped by the witch Gruntilda, because she wants to possess Tooty's beauty and it's up to Banjo and Kazooie to rescue her. The goal of the game is to collect objects in different worlds, like puzzle pieces to open up new worlds open and musical notes to open doors. All this helps Banjo and Kazooie in their battle against Gruntilda.

The second game in the series, released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64 and re-released in 2009 for the Xbox 360.

Two years after Gruntilda was defeated by Banjo and Kazooie, Gruntilda is freed from her grave by her two sisters. She uses a machine B.O.B. on the Isle of O'Hags, to give herself more energy. After Gruntilda kills Bottles, Banjo and Kazooie try to stop her. 'Banjo-Tooie' is significantly harder than its predecessor, puzzle pieces are not in view, not easily accessible and abilities and powers are used to obtain new ones.

The third game in the series, released in 2008 for the Xbox 360.

This is the first game that was not released on the Nintendo 64. Unlike previous video game, you have to build different vehicles to complete the challenge. The challenges are driving, moving objects, fight enemies and perform all sorts of other tasks. Gruntilda is still the primary antagonist, but Banjo, Kazooie and the others are swept into a whole new world.
