The stories of “The Little Brown Bears,” were written and illustrated by Chris Temple. The stories were about seven little bears, all brothers. They were named Marmaduke, Clarence, Cuthbert, Archibald, Frederick Algernon and the Wee One. The family appeared in four books: ‘At the School’, ‘At the Farm’, ‘At The Seaside’ and ‘At the Zoo’. Stories also appeared in the periodical “Little Dots” and the “Annual Playways” in the 1950s.
