Nounours

Frenchman Claude Laydu had a marvellous idea for a daily TV-program. He got the idea from Germany, where a young announcer said to the children that it was time for them to go to sleep. To let a cuddly, animated Teddy Bear do that, seemed a great idea to the ‘father’ of Nounours.

The first characters of ‘Good Night’ are Petit Louis, Mirabelle and Big Bear. They appear on French television on December 10, 1962 for the first series. The next series starts on October 6, 1963 and features Nounours, Pimprenelle and Nicolas. The children were fascinated by the ‘Goodnight to the little ones’. Every night, Nounours tells them to go to sleep and they do.
