Yogi Bear TV-Shows

Yogi appeared in many different TV-shows, which for the main part carried his name.

Yogi’s Big Break

This was the first episode of the Yogi Bear cartoon series. It appeared on October 2, 1959 as part of The Huckleberry Hound Show. Yogi wants to get as far away as possible from Jellystone Park and its tourists. He tries a number of escape attempts, but they all fail, often at the hands of Park Ranger Smith.

The Yogi Bear Show

A series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, about the fast-talking, picnic baskets stealing bear. The show was first broadcast in syndication on January 30, 1961. The series ran for 31 episodes until December 30, 1961. There were two more parts in the series: Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle.

Yogi Bear & Friends

A syndicated series that aired between 1967 and 1968 and mainly consisted of reruns of shorts with Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Hokey Wolf, Pixie and Dixie, Yakky Doodle, and Snagglepuss.

Yogi’s Gang

Yogi’s Gang is a series with 16 episodes of 30 minutes produces by Hanna Barbera and aired on ABC. The show ran from September 8, 1973, till December 29, 1973. The series featured Yogi Bear and Boo Boo accompanied by Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, Quick Draw McGraw, Hokey Wolf, Pixie and Dixie, The Hillbilly Bears and others as they travel around the world in a flying ark, searching for a paradise, a place without pollution or crime.

Yogi’s Space Race

A series with episodes of 90 minutes, produced by Hanna Barbera and broadcast by NBC from September 9 to December 2, 1978. The show consisted of four parts: Yogi’s Space Race, Galaxy Goof-Ups, The Buford Files and The Galloping Ghost.

Galaxy Goof-Ups

Galaxy Goof-Ups was a series with episodes of 30 minutes, produced by Hanna Barbera and broadcast by NBC, from November 4, 1978 to September 1, 1979. The Galaxy Goof-Ups include Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Scare Bear and Quack Up as space patrolmen. The series’ first was part of Yogi’s Space Race.

Yogi Bear’s All Star Comedy Christmas Caper

A cartoon special with Yogi Bear and his friends, aired on December 21, 1982. When Huckleberry Hound and his friends Hokey Wolf, Snagglepuss, Quick Draw McGraw, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy, and Snooper and Blabber visit Jellystone Park to celebrate Christmas, they discover that Yogi Bear and Boo Boo escaped from Yellystone Park and are hiding in a shopping mall, where Yogi poses as Santa Claus.

Yogi’s Treasure Hunt

A segment on The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. The show ran from 1985 till 1986 on NBC. Yogi Bear, along with Boo Boo, Ranger Smith, Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy, Quick Draw McGraw and Snooper and Blabber, would go on treasure hunts, as assigned by Top Cat.

The New Yogi Bear Show

The New Yogi Bear Show was a series broadcast on weekdays and lasted 30 minutes. The series contained 45 new episodes and repeats of the episodes from the original series. The series consisted entirely of stories about Yogi and his friends and was aired from September 12, 1988 till November 11, 1988.

Yo Yogi!

The series was first aired by NBC on Saturday mornings during the 1991-1992 season. It featured a teenage version of Yogi Bear and his friends, including Boo Boo, Cindy Bear, Huckleberry Hound and Snagglepuss.

Yogi the Easter Bear

Yogi the Easter Bear is a cartoon TV-special from Hanna-Barbera, which first aired in 1994 starring Yogi Bear and his friends.
